A Samburu Safari (Camping, Lodge or Tented Camp)
Samburu is small compared with other game reserves, but undoubtedly teeming with wildlife. This means you spend less time exploring because they are concentrated over a small area. There are over 50 different species and has quite a number of endangered species like Grevy Zebra, the Reticulated Giraffe, Beisa Oryx, Gerenuk etc. One of the most interesting animals to see is the Gerenuk, the long-necked antelope adapted for browsing high bushes. Most felines can be found as well as 365 species of birds. Samburu is situated north of Kenya and is about 5-6 hours drive from Nairobi. Samburu is also home to the Samburu people, Maasai's cousins.
Close by is the Namunyak, a vast Samburu community wilderness area administered by the Namunyak Wildlife Conservation Trust in close conjunction with the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy. The conservation area is an unspoilt wilderness with few roads. Walking excursions in the area are popular activity with local Samburu game scouts as guides. Game drives are also available for adventure in search of the lions, elephants and crocodiles in the river.
It is accessible both by road and air. There are a number of good lodges and luxurious tented camps, budget camps (outside the park) and campsites. Depending on your budget, we will be able to do an itinerary for you fpr a safari to Samburu. However this are the most common and popular:-

3 Days, 2 Night Samburu Safari (Camping safari, Lodge Safari, Tented Camp Safari)
Day 01: Nairobi - Samburu
Depart from Bush House & Camp at 07h00 and drive to Kenya's northern frontier to Samburu Game Reserve via diverse views of Kenya's agricultural hinterlandsa and the more rugged north. Arrive in time for lunch. Spend early afternoon at leisure. Late afternoon game drive.
Basic Samburu Camping: - Dinner and overnight at campsite, or standard tented camp e.g. Umoja Campsite
Tented Samburu Camping: - Dinner and overnight at Sentrim Samburu
Lodge Samburu Safari - Dinner and overnight at Samburu Sopa, choice to upgrade to Samburu Intrepids at extra cost
Day 02: Samburu - Full Day
After breakfast, choose to spend entire day exploring the pack with packed lunches or have morning game drive and get back for lunch.Late afternoon game drive.
